These photographs are of our car and truck assembly meeting in November 2007.

Each year Woodworkers of Whittier produces hundreds of toys for less fortunate children in our community.

The members of the club work in their own shops all year long cutting, drilling, and sanding the toys.

Late each year the club dedicates one or more meetings to assembly of the axles and wheels in assembly line fashion.

The club provides axles and wheels which are purchased in large quantites to keep costs low.

Members bring mallets, glue, and the toy bodies and turn an otherwise mundate chore into a fun activity.

With so many mallets and mouths in action at once, the project is completed quickly.

At the end of the meeting we have bags upon bags of completed cars, trucks, buses, graders, and dozers.
