What, When, and Where are the Meetings? |
| Woodworkers of Whittier meets on the 2nd Thursday of every month. Meetings are usually
at Adventure Park (formerly Gunn Ave Park) in Whittier. For a map and directions to Adventure
Park, click on the Map link below. Meetings begin promptly at 6:30 PM and end at 8:30 PM. Meetings include a woodworking related program, typically a demonstration or discussion, or perhaps a manufacturers representative. We cover a diverse range of topics, for example over the past year topics have included tablesaw techniques, finishing, shaker box making, joinery, scrollsawing, sharpening, turning, routers and more. There is usually something of interest to every woodworker. Occasionlly meetings will be held at a members shop or even at a manufacturers facility. We suggest you call or email to confirm the meeting location. Other popular items on the meeting adgenda are the monthly raffle, show-and-tell where members show off their projects, and of course refreshments. Most important, we have fun!
